2026 AIAG North American Customs and Trade Town Hall: Turning Complexity Into Confidence

In an era of shifting regulations, geopolitical uncertainty, and rapid technological change, navigating the automotive supply chain requires more than just keeping up. It requires a united community. The 2026 AIAG North American Customs and Trade Town Hall is the premier neutral forum designed exclusively for automotive customs and trade professionals to gather, share standardized solutions, and build collective confidence.

Join us on November 5, 2026, in Detroit or virtually, to connect with peers, government officials, and top-tier customs brokers. This year's comprehensive agenda is structured to address the exact operational and strategic challenges your organization faces daily.

What to Expect

Our expert-led sessions will cover the full spectrum of North American trade compliance and strategy, including:

  • Consolidated Administration and Processing of Entries (CAPE): Discover how a centralized, standardized approach to entry management can streamline operations, enhance compliance, and improve data visibility across global trade operations.
  • Duty Drawback and Cost Recovery: Learn how manufacturers and suppliers are identifying eligible claims, recovering duties, and turning trade complexity into financial opportunity.
  • Audit Readiness: Understand emerging enforcement priorities regarding valuation, origin, and USMCA claims to protect your organization from intensifying audit risks.
  • Cross-Border Modernization: Stay ahead of the latest CBSA developments in Canada and regulatory transformations and heightened enforcement in Mexico.
  • Agentic AI and Technology: Explore real-world applications of next-generation AI to manage compliance, mitigate operational risk, and improve responsiveness.
  • Trusted Trader Programs: Elevate your ISA and CTPAT programs from simple certifications to strategic business advantages that improve audit readiness.
  • Border Crossing Efficiency: Optimize PAPS processing and manage non-FAST border strategies to keep your freight moving and avoid costly production disruptions.
  • The Future of USMCA: Prepare for upcoming reviews, tariff trends, and evolving trade remedies.
  • Global Economic and Geopolitical Outlook: Gain critical insights into the macroeconomic forces and geopolitical developments shaping global automotive trade.

Professional Development and Networking

In addition to peer-to-peer networking during our interactive breaks, luncheon, and the Customs and Trade After Hours Reception, this event supports your professional growth. National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) credits will be available. An NCBFAA credits code will be provided to participants upon completion of the post-event survey.
